Woburn Family Attorney - Erin Whelan Pennock Named Super Lawyers Rising Star 2013


ATTORNEY ERIN WHELAN PENNOCK SELECTED AS SUPER LAWYER RISING STAR

Super Lawyers has announced their 2013 selections for Super Lawyers Rising Stars in Massachusetts and Attorney Erin Pennock is honored to be a part of this list. Rising Stars are made up of no more than the top two point five (2.5%) percent of all attorneys in the state. To qualify as a Rising Star, an attorney must be age 40 or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. The list of this year's Super Lawyers will be published in a supplement to the November 2013 issue of Boston magazine and in New England Super Lawyers, published by Thomson Reuters. In addition, Attorney Pennock's selection will be listed in The Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts section of the April 2014 issue of Boston magazine.

Attorney Pennock also successfully argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court in the reported case, Dickey v. Warren, 75 Mass. App. Ct. 585 (2009).

Attorney Pennock continues to focus her practice primarily in the areas of family law, specifically divorce and post-divorce matters involving child custody, visitation, child support, retirement division and alimony. In addition to family law, Attorney Pennock also handles probate matters including, but not limited to, guardianships, conservatorships, will contests and probate of estates.   Attorney Pennock devotes her practice to finding alternatives to litigation and is a trained collaborative law attorney and mediator, however is ready, willing and capable of aggressively fighting for her clients’ interests in court where necessary.

Attorney Pennock is also highly respected for her volunteer experience and she continues to pursue opportunities to help Massachusetts residents with limited financial resources who can benefit from her skills, certifications, education and dedication. She currently serves as a volunteer attorney with the Women’s Bar Association Elder Law Project and the Volunteer Lawyers Project assisting victims of domestic violence. She also volunteers her mediation and conciliation services as a Conciliator with the Middlesex County Bar Association and the SERV project offered by Senior Partners for Justice.
